Christine Bevis Brewer was born June 16, 1935 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Wilburn Lee and Lora Gillis Bevis.She was united in marriage to Kenneth Ray Brewer on Jan. 2, 1954. She worked for many years as a sales person in the retail industry and was a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ in FLorence, Alabama.
Mrs. Brewer departed this life on Oct. 27, 2017 in Killen, Alabama at the Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home at the age of 82 years, 4 months, 11 days.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray Brewer of Florence, Alabama; a son, Danny Ray Brewer and wife Mechelle, of Green Hill, Alabama; two sisters, Dottie Pennington, of Florence, Alabama and Gerliene Daniel, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Jonthe Brewer and Handel Brewer, both of Green Hill, Alabama.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Brewer was preceded in death by a brother, Carvel Bevis.
Services will be held today, Oct. 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Sonny Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee. Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 29, from 6-8 p.m.
