Mrs. Sherry D. Scribner, age 57, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 31st at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens, located adjacent to the funeral home. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sherry was born June 16, 1960 in Maury County and was the daughter of the late Johnny Baxter Vaughn and the late Annie Mabel Street Vaughn. She was a member of Fountain Creek United Primitive Baptist Church and loved to swim.
Sherry is survived by her husband: William Scribner of Columbia; son: Johnathan Jones of Pulaski; daughter: Christy (Brian) Riley of MI; brothers: Johnny B. Vaughn of Columbia and Steven Vaughn of Santa Fe; sisters: Faye (Neil) Johnson of Williamsport, Annie Ruth of Lewisburg, and Betty King of Louisville, KY; and grandchildren: Eric Riley and Evan Riley.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Walter, Leroy, and Charles Vaughn.
Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.
