Frederick Lowell Williams – Obituary

Frederick Lowell Williams, 94, passed away Oct. 18, 2017, at Russellville Hospital. Born in Oklahoma, Mr. Williams had lived in Phil Campbell for the past 90 years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Church of God, Phil Campbell, and was a retired construction worker.

Visitation for Mr. Williams will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Minister Bill Cornelius. Burial will be in P.A. Williams Cemetery in Phil Campbell, Alabama. Pallbearers will be David Tidwell, Frankie Tidwell, Danny Weeks, Bryan Pierce, Jim Borden, Justin Williams, and Tim Taylor.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Williams; children, Larry Williams (Debbie), Judy Taylor (Leldon), and Debra Borden. Stepchildren include Charlene Tidwell (David), Shelia Tidwell (Frankie), Reba Pierce (Bryan), Jean Howard, and Danny Weeks (Wendy). Grandchildren include LaShonda Horton, Amanda Wyrick, Tim Taylor, Justin Williams, Leisa Dennis, Chris Waller, and Julie Allen. In addition, 16 great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Louise Evans Williams; his parents, Thomas M. and Bertha M. Clement Williams; and daughter, Geraldine Waller.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
