Roger Dale Forrester, age 60 of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at UAB Hospital.
Mr. Forrester was a member of Edgil Grove Baptist Church, he worked for Alabama Power at Gorgas Steam Plant for 39 years. He was a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Edgil Grove Baptist Church, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Hancel Cox and Eric Stone will officiate.
Mr. Forrester was preceded in death by his Father and Mother-Earl and Vivolene Forrester; Grandparents-Grady and Lillie Mae Forrester, Paul and Audie Ferguson; Nephew-Shannon Forrester; Brother-in-law-Junior Moody; Father-in-law-Robert Green; Mother-in-law-Ruth Green.
He is survived by his Wife of 36 years-Cheryl Green Forrester; Step Mother-Betty Forrester; Daughter-Andrea Forrester (boyfriend-Tom); Son-Hunter Forrester (Erin); Sister-Brenda Moody; Brothers-Jimmy Forrester and Dwight Forrester (Cindy); Step Brother-Steve Dozier (Becky); Step Sisters-Tina Farmer and Ruth Ann Jones (Jared); Uncle-Ottis Forrester; Aunts-Kay Burgett, Paulett Meadows and Corky Ellis; Special Friends at Gorgas Steam Plant; Host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Forrester, Tom Murphree, Steven Forrester, Dylan Forrester, Kevin Pentecost, Heath Richards, Steve Dozier and Randy Jones.
