Robert Earl “Bob” Williams, age 79, of Leighton, died Saturday, August 19, 2017. His visitation will be Monday, August 21st, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Tuesday, August 22nd at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Melvin Mordecai and Bro. Thomas Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Bob was a native of Riverton Rose Trail. He retired as a service tech with Direct TV. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, and the mother of his children, Jackie Nadine Williams; his parents, Harvey and Mable Williams; three brothers and one sister. He was an avid wood worker and great story teller.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Shirley Bradford Williams; son, Keith Williams (Juanita); daughters, Kimberly Deese and Kay Holt (Marty); step daughters, Judy Dill (Gerald), Beverly Montgomery (Mark), Cheryl Mitchell (Nathan), and Kimberly Bradford; brother, Chester Williams (Glenda); sister, Joyce Billings; grandchildren, Chris Williams, Jessica Smith (Caleb), Rachel Hyde (Matthew), Nathan Holt, Jason Holt (Breanna), Lorin Holt, and Jordan Deese; great-grandchildren, Sheridan Mackenzie, Zachary Cameron, Avice Nadine, Samson Luke, and Jase Isaac; step-grandchildren, Brittany Gautney (Andrew), Briana Simmons, Daisha Simmons, Joshua Mitchell (Cheyenne), Tasha Kelly (Josh), Brittany Isbell (Brett), Wesley Montgomery (Sara), and Zac Montgomery (Megan); and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
