Cleo Horton Uhlman, age 93, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, August 19, 2017. Her visitation will be Tuesday, August 22nd from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Valley Grove Baptist Church. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Bro. Greg Beasley and Bro. Larry Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
Mrs. Uhlman was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church and the Red Hat Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Buddy” Uhlman; daughter, Jane Uhlman Pace; parents, Joe and Jane Ayers Horton; sisters, Virgie Wesson, Ruth Murphy, Viva Faulkner, Marie Holt, Kathleen Coats, Dimple Vickery, and Eva Mae Belew; brothers, Joe Horton, Jr., A.W. Horton ,and Billy Horton; and grandchildren, Jeff Uhlman and Stephanie Hollis.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Uhlman (Glenda) and Kenneth Uhlman (Toni); daughters, Carol Kuykendall (Richard) and Martha Hollis (Rodney); sister, Doris Stutts; 15 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lance Uhlman, Kevin Uhlman, Jason Hollis, Kenric Crosswhite, Corey Kuykendall, Adam Uhlman, Todd Kuykendall, and Jay Mayfield.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Uhlman’s Sunday School Class.
