Doris “Earline” Balentine passed from this life December 26, 2016 at her residence with her family present. Earline was a member of the Mt. Zion Church family most of her life.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 9-11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Church of Christ with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Sonny Owens. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Earline was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lucinda Behel; brothers, James, Cletus, McKinley, and Benton Behel; sisters, Ruby Haygood, Oveta Kimbrough, and LeVora Ann Behel.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hollie Balentine; children, Debra Wilson (David), Norene Olive (Larry) all of Florence, Jessie Balentine of Pleasanton, California; sisters, Mary Lou Parker, Eloise Valentine, Eurma Thompson, and Shirley Behel; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Earline was such a wonderful woman. Sweet, caring and nurturing. She always made you feel welcome in her home. I have so many fond memories of chocolate milk and cinnamon toast play dates with Jessie. You could always tell Earline loved children and having us all together.
