Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred E. Rhodes Gabbard, age 92, are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, November 25, 2016 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery. Mrs. Gabbard passed away Monday in Memphis. She was born July 4, 1924 in Henderson County to the late Everett and Ethel Roberts Rhodes. She was a homemaker and loved flowers, glassware, cooking, and sewing. She was a member of Frayser Baptist Church and loved her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Gabbard was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and her step-mother, Eunice Rhodes. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Glen D. Gabbard; two sons, David Gabbard (Ran) and Stephen Gabbard (Debbie); her daughter, Janice Cook (James); brother, Frank Dalton Rhodes; two sisters, Johnnie Mae Havener and Kathryn Greeley; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
