Virginia McCarley Childers, age 72, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, September 24th, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in Hamilton, Alabama.
Visitation, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday September 27th, 2016. Funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, following visitation, at the Happy Hill Church of God of Prophecy. Burial in Happy Hill Cemetery.
She is survived her husband, Bud Childers; daughter, Tammy (Greg) Palmer; son, Bobby (Beverly) Childers; grandchildren, Charles Trae Childers, Brooke Childers Compton, Kayla Harden Scott, and Tyson Slade Palmer; great-grandchildren, Madylin Childers, Ashlan Childers, Knoxley Compton, Kloe Scott and Reece Scott; and sister, Helen Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wheeler and Ozell Williams McCarley; son, Jeffrey Childers; grandson, Garrett Harden; brothers, Hafferd McCarley, Quinon McCarley, Newburn McCarley, and Royce McCarley.
