Mandy Thigpen Bacon, 35, of the Burnsville/Iuka, MS area, died Saturday, September 24, 2016, in Iuka, MS. Mandy enjoyed crocheting, taking care of her two precious daughters and visiting with family and friends. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. She enjoyed reading books, listening to music, enjoying all types of art, and watching movies. Mandy’s whole life revolved around her daughters. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Lance Foster and Bro. Roger Wood. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chase Michael, Nick Michael, Tim Arnold, Adam Martin, Andy Bacon, and Michael Brown. She is survived by her husband, Luke Bacon; her daughters, Olivia and Shaelyn Bacon; her mother, Mackie Smith; her grandparents, Nettie and Glenn Smith; one sister, Amy (Darron) Michael; her brother, Karl Thigpen; three sister-in-laws, Erin Collins, Leeca Plantz, and Lauree Bacon; one brother in-law, Andy Bacon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Thigpen; her great-grandmother, Pinkey Devers; her uncle, Benny Joe Smith, and her aunt, Debbie Smith.
