Christine G. Wade, age 83 of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at her residence.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church, she will lie in state from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Scott Tucker and James Haygood will officiate.
Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her Father-Troy Gurganus; Mother-Hazel Gurganus; Daughter-June Bruner; Brothers-William, George and Leon; Sisters-Mary Lou Blackstone and Sandra Kay Gurganus.
She is survived by her Daughters-Judy Walters and Becky Wade; Sons-Rodney Wade and Ricky Wade; Sister-Pat Madison; Brothers-Thomas Gurganus and Billy Gurganus; 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
