Mitchell Allen Clabough Sr., 75, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at his residence. A Celebration Of Life service will be Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rick Thompson officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Mitch was born in Louisville, Tennessee on April 20, 1941 to Allen Harper and Helen Franklin Clabough. He attended grades one through eight at Louisville Grammar School and graduated from Maryville High School in 1959. He started a career with Toledo Scales (Reliance Electric) and was later transferred to Decatur, Alabama. He retired after 37 years of service in 1997. He was a lifetime member of Decatur Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Faye Clabough; sons, Allen Clabough and David (Stephanie) Clabough; grandchildren, Connor Clabough, Kaylee Clabough, Angela (Lorne) Watson, Geni (Jonathan) Melson, and Amy Denny, great-grandchildren, Tyler Denny, Hannah Denny, Liam Benderman, Kylie Benderman; sister, Jane Clabough Grams; nieces, Jane Dail Dowden and Jennifer Lyn (John) Burritt, and the Elks Lodge Family.
