Tommy Dale Riddle, 73 of Guntersville Alabama, the Georgia Mountain Community, died Saturday August 6, 2016 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Riddle was born February 5, 1943 in Marshall County Alabama to Thomas Gilford Riddle and Ina Bell Smith Riddle. He worked as a diesel mechanic and was the Assistant Fire Chief for Union Grove Volunteer Fire Department. He also served four years in the Alabama National Guard.
Mr. Riddle was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alice Marie Dake Riddle; daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and Norman Grethen, Evelyn and Lynn Sivley, Regina and Allan Benson, eleven grandchildren: DeWayne, Norman Jr., Terry, Shauna, Glenn, Melanie, Tyler, Savannah, Rachel, Emily and Alison; six great grandchildren: Cody, Hunter, Bella, Christa, Dale, Dalton and Amelia Kate; a brother and sister-in-law: Johnny and Belinda Harris; sisters and brother-in-law: Deborah Holderfield, Linda and Asa Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Gilford Riddle and Ina Bell Harris and James “Red” Harris and a grand daughter Elisha.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 9, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Kerry Sims and Steven Swords officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be Matt Farley, Chris Clements, Michael Taylor, Brandon Brown, Tim Jones and Jason Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday August 8, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
