jewelJewel Frances McKinney Gentry, 85, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Bear Creek, Alabama. She was born July 5, 1930, to C. M. “Cordie” and Sybol Grissom Young. She worked for a brief time in the automobile industry and was a homemaker.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Terry Paul Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Anita Cromeans, of Bear Creek, Alabama; three sons, Mark (Susan) McKinney, Sr., of Houston, Texas, Douglas (Donna) McKinney, Sr., of Fulton, and Paul (Debbie) McKinney of Tupelo; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Reese, of Guntown; two sisters-in-law, Jean Young and Sara Young, both of Mantachie; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Christine Lann, of Tremont.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charley Eugene McKinney, the father of her children, and Roy Lee Gentry; three sons, Larry Gene, Charles Michael, and Christopher Allen McKinney, Sr.; one grandson, Christopher Allen McKinney, Jr.; one sister, Gracie Young; three brothers, Olon Young, Billy Young, and Wade Young; a son-in-law, Edward “Eddie” Cromeans; a brother-in-law, David Reese; a sister-in-law, Mollie Young; two nieces, Roxie Young and Jane Young; and two nephews, Joel Young and Steven Young.

Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 30, at the funeral home.
