Linda Sue Ridgell was born on July 26, 1957, in Pensacola, Florida, to Noman Austill and Maudie Mae Estes Austill, both of whom preceded her in death. She passed away on October 13, 2026, while residing in Corinth, Mississippi.

Linda worked as a waitress throughout her working years. She enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life special, including spending time with dogs, playing cards, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. These were some of the things she loved, bringing comfort and enjoyment to her everyday life.

Linda’s greatest legacy lives on through the family she leaves behind. She is survived by her son, Autrey Cockrell, and his fiancée, Penny Holland, of Toone, Tennessee; her granddaughter, Cheyenne Cockrell, of Nashville, Tennessee; and her five siblings, Barbara Davis, Charles Austill, Marlyn Ridgell, Elizabeth Raine, and George Melvin Keeton.

Though Linda will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, the memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family and all who shared in her life. May she be remembered with love for the life she lived and the moments that made her uniquely herself.
