Bobby E. Cothren , 83, of Meridianville passed away Monday at his home. Mr. Cothren was retired from NASA and was a charter member of Meridianville Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Doris Cothren; his children: Greg Cothren (Gayle), Stephen Cothren (Tina Woodliff), Leigh Ann Shubert (Mike) and Carol Guffey (Jody); one brother: Earl Cothren (Gay); twelve grandchildren: Hudson (Kristy), Maddie, Mason (Brooke), Parker, Brian (Laura), Britney (John), Zac (Corley), Jake (Jenny), Katie, Cole, Reid and Brooke and five great grandchildren: Brayden, Olivia, Claire, Baylee and Braylyn. He is also survived by his loving caregiver: Susanne Carter. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a Chapel service at 1:00 p.m. with Randy Pyle, Tommy Rosenblum and Mason Cothren officiating.
