WINSTON COUNTY-From The Hamilton Post of the ALEA (Alabama Law Enforecement Agency) areport on a traffic fatality in Winston County:
HAMILTON POST – A single-vehicle crash at 5:07 p.m. Thursday, March 30, has claimed the life of a Lynn man. Charles Monroe Tucker, 56, was killed when the 2001 Dodge Dakota he was driving left the roadway and struck a parked log truck. Tucker was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he died Saturday, April 2. A passenger in the vehicle, Austin Brian Tucker, 16, was also airlifted to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham. The crash occurred on Alabama 5 at the 197 mile marker, near the intersection of U.S. 278, two miles south of Lynn. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
