HAMILTON-At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10 there was a shooting at the office of Attorney Scott Hunt located at 156 Bexar Avenue West in Hamilton. The second shooting took place a few blocks away at Lawler and Cole accounting firm 321 1st St SW in Hamilton.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office the reason for the shooting is unknown.
What they do know is that two persons are confirmed dead and the shooter is in custody. The shooter was shot by a police officer. He has been taken to UAB Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. SBI will handle the officer involved shooting.
No names have been released the investigation is on going.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is at the scene and is also investigating the case.
