Charles Coy Bean – Obituary

Charles Coy Bean, 71, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Tupelo Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born September 2, 1944, to Coy and Clytee Sloan Bean. He attended Big Oak Baptist Church. Known as the Peaceful Valley mayor, he loved to walk up and down the roads there. He loved to go places, and it really didn’t matter where. He loved Mountain Dews and collecting things, some being hats, Bibles, and Elvis memorabilia. In his later years, he lived for Sunday mornings so he could go to church at Big Oak Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Saturday, November 14, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Doug Wilson and Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Bourland Cemetery.

Survivors include two sisters, Dianne Rock (Roy) and Sarah Thompson (Jerry); one brother, David Bean (Nancy), all of Peaceful Valley community; nine nieces and nephews, Andy Bean (Kathy), Debbie Bales (Pat), Josh Bean (Nicole), Cody Bean (Laken), Matthew Thompson, Marcus Thompson (Marcie), Amy Hoffman (Ray), Jamie Rock (Beth), and Lacey Cox (Jason); several great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great nieces; great-great nephews; cousins; other family members and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joel Bean; two nephews, Jason Rock and Tim Loague; and his parents.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help crippled children at Le Bonheur, St. Jude, or your favorite charity.
