SHEFFIELD – “We set out to serve the veterans of this country and our communities in honor of the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform.”

This year’s annual Veterans Day Banquet was held Wednesday night by the Long – Hodges – Lowe VFW Auxiliary. The affair is held each year to honor those veterans who have served their nation in the armed forces. It was an inspirational evening for the celebrants, as Guest Speaker, Reginald D. Darby, Ret. Sgt, First Class U.S. Army, gave an inspirational address. He described through his own career perspective, the dedication and hard work that exemplifies the highest ideals of the members United States Armed Services. Sgt. Darby is a native of Tuscumbia, and presently lives in South Carolina and works at Fort Jackson.

The Quad-Cities Daily was on hand to record the evening in EVENT PHOTOS. We present the here.
