DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department on Wednesday, November 11 investigated an employee theft case. Here is a statement from the Decatur Police regarding the investigation and arrest of one suspect:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On November 11th of 2015, the Decatur Police Department received a call from Lowe’s Home Improvement Store regarding and employee theft. During the course of the investigation, Misty Lynn Jones was developed as a suspect.
Jones was transported to the police department as part of the investigation. As a result, Misty Lynn Jones was charged with one count of 2nd Degree Theft. Jones was processed into the Decatur City Jail and then transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lie of a $2,500 bond.
The Theft of Property which exceeds $500 but does not exceed $2,500 constitutes Theft of Property in the Second Degree.
Theft of Property in the Second Degree is a Class C Felony.”
