Funeral service for Ruby P. Oakley, 92, of Brooksville, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Priceville with Earl Holt officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Mrs. Oakley will placed in the church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Mrs. Oakley was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Oakley died September 26, 2015. She was born June 15, 1923, in Morgan County to Frank and Lizzie Pannell. Mrs. Oakley was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Otis Oakley; her parents; siblings, Jack, James, and Jimmy Pannell; son, Allen Oakley; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her nine children, Bobby Oakley, John Oakley(Lisa), Mike Oakley(Cathy), Faye Morrison(Don), Judy Hagen(Butch), Susan McDonald (Kenneth), Jennifer Tucker (Keith), Ann Jones (Jimmy), Tonia Yarbrough(Kenneth), 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
