Gene Austin Wisdom, age 80, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 6, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The service will be at 2p.m., Monday, Sept. 7, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Danny Pettus and Brother Andy Erwin officiating. Interment will be at Blue Water Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vic Peck, Larry Wallace, Nick Wallace, Petey Melton, Joey Tucker, Trey Peck, Ty Martin and Greg Ezell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Skylar Tucker, Steve Campbell, Bubba Gray, Jamie Smith, Chris Curbow, Burney Wisdom, Troy Tays, Joe Inman, Glenn Pettus and Rayburn Wisdom.
Mr. Wisdom was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, Killen, Ala.;
and was retired from Reynolds. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janette Wisdom;
daughters, Amy Wallace (Larry); Tammy Melton (Petey) and Stacy Peck (Vic ); brother, Rayburn Wisdom (Carolyn); grandchildren, Nicholas Wallace, Brittany Tucker, Trey Peck, Molly Curbow, Mary Beth Russell and Ty Martin; great-grandchildren, Skylar Tucker, Chloe Curbow, Kai Peck, Easton Curbow, Madison Russell, Dawson Peck and Marshall Tucker.
