Betty Austin, age 80, of Muscle Shoals, Al., died Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Her visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 12 noon-1:30 PM at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with a graveside service to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, great grandmother, and sister who devoted her life to her family, and she enjoyed spending time with family and reading.
Preceded in death by the love of her life, Wallace Spencer Austin; father, George Jones; mother, Ethel Austin; grandson, Aubrey Austin.
Survivors are sons, Ricky (Diane) Austin of Muscle Shoals, Al, Anthony Austin, of Muscle Shoal, Al; daughters, Rose (Troy) Dickerson, and Gail (Phillip) McGee, of Lexington, Al.; brother, Melvin (Margaret) Austin of Muscle Shoals, Al, and Roger (Cathy) Jones, of Misawakie, Michigan; ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers are Thomas, Spencer, Dewayne Dickerson, Josh Austin, Luke Austin, and Corey McGee. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Dickerson, Steve Dickerson, Randy Dickerson, and Jason Williams.
