ATHENS-The Athens Police Answered a call on Wednesday, July 22 at the Holiday Inn Express. This is the statement from Police Chief Floyd Johnson regarding the arrest of one suspect:
“This morning around 04:30 the police department received a call from the manager of the Holiday Inn Express on Athens-Limestone Blvd. The manager said one of their guests told him there was a car alarm going off in the parking lot and a white female was going from car to car looking inside vehicles. Officer Joseph Kimery located Brandy Nichole Johnson in a pickup truck when he arrived at motel. After a brief investigation it was determined that Johnson was going thru the parking lot and entering vehicles that were unlocked. Johnson went into four different vehicles however she only took property from three. She had taken granola bars, a GPS unit and some Nicotine pills when she was located. Johnson was arrested and charged with three counts of Breaking and Entering a Vehicle. She was transported to the police department where she was booked and then transferred to the county jail.”
