Crystal Vanhoozer
ATHENS-Athens Police arrested one suspect on Monday, July 20 for Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Here is Police Chief Floyd Johnson’s statement:
“In March of 2014 Crystal Vanhoozer and a friend were stopped in the Wal-Mart parking lot by Officer James Kennedy. Kennedy stopped Vanhoozer because they matched the description of suspects involved in a theft. While on the traffic stop Kennedy located 34 Hydrocodone and 18 Alprazolam tablets on Vanhoozer’s friend however the prescription bottles had Vanhoozer’s name on them. While interviewing Vanhoozer she said she had gave her friend two of the Hydrocodone for pain. Investigators obtained a warrant a few days later for Vanhoozer for Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Vanhoozer was arrested last night on the warrant. She was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
