Funeral service for Ima Nell Woods Guthery, 86, of Vinemont, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015 at Mt. Vernon Congregational Methodist Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery, Revs. Glenn McCain, Vernon Willis and Wayne Jetton officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 10-11.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Guthery passed away Saturday, July 18th, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 14, 1929 to parents, Reno Boman & Lillian Ora Burden Woods. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Vernon Congregational Methodist Church and was a bus driver for ten years at West Point. She loved to cook, sew, make crafts and feed everyone. The family would like to express a special thank you to caregiver and niece, Starlet Guthery Kelsoe.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James C. Guthery three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Larry Joe) Dean, Shelba (Junior) Sapp; brothers, Copal (Betty) Woods, Bud (Joan) Woods, Ruel (Carol) Woods, R.B. (Rosemary) Woods; sisters, Helen Carter, Doris Looney; grandchildren, Nichole (John Paul) Corley, Shawn Dean, Danielle Dean-Semich, Patrinka Sapp Witcher, Timothy (Tonya) Sapp, Brad Sapp; great-grandchildren, Treasure Corley, Eden Corley, Summer Corley, Maxwell Dean, Jeff (Kimber) Witcher, Cody (Sabrina) Witcher, Candace (Justin) Knowles, Kaitlyn Sapp, Kolton Sapp, Aja Sapp; great-great-grandchildren, Olivia & Aubry Witcher, Cayle Knowles, Bryson Knowles, Brody Witcher and a host of family and friends.
