Frank Arthur Gardner – Obituary

Frank Arthur Gardner, 83, of Huntsville died Friday. He was born in Wilkingsburg, PA and proudly served in the United States Army for 9 years and as a civilian in the United States Government for 36 years. Frank enjoyed reading, gardening, and Alabama football. He was a member of Gideon’s International and enjoyed volunteering his time with them. He was also a member of Calvary Bible Church.

Frank was a proud father, uncle and grandfather. He delighted in spending time with family, especially his granddaughters who brought him extra joy the last 7 years of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alma Gardner, wife Yoo Ja Gardner and brother Andrew Gardner. Survivors include daughter, Marcia Walton (Bill), granddaughters Audrey and Hazel Walton, brother and sister-in-law Sang Kil and Hee Suk Kim, nieces Gloria and Angela Kim (David Ferguson), great-niece Samantha Ferguson, sisters Karen Lynd and Shirley Lang as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday July 19 at Laughlin Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Bible Church or Gideon’s International.
