George Bishop Orton, 36, was born on Friday, October 13, 1978, went to Heaven on April 24, 2015 after a sudden illness. He accepted Christ on Easter Sunday at the age of seven at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia. George will be greatly missed by his family and friends that were fortunate to know him. He was a joy and delight. George was a 1997 graduate of Harrison High School and he graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in business. He organized his company and graciously worked with his dad. He was a dedicated Georgia Bulldog fan and liked all sports.
A memorial service will be held in Cobb County at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta, GA on May 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the service following in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
He is survived by his parents, Fred and Linda Orton; brothers, John Orton and wife Alison, Paul Orton and wife Joy; uncles, Jim Orton and wife Cici, Bill Orton and wife Janice; aunt, Jan Thomas and husband Rusty; nieces, Ahbee, Elizabeth, and Sarah Orton; nephews, Daniel and Patrick Orton; his girlfriend of ten years, Amanda Marks; and numerous cousins.
