Howard Spears, 78, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on June 24, 1936 in Waynesboro, VA to the late, Virgil Spears and Josephine Steppe Spears.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Fay E. Spears, and a son, Stanley Spears.
Howard is survived by three children, Howard Steven Spears and family of Dale City, VA, Samuel Lee Spears and family of Staunton and Juanita Fay Banks of Charlotte, NC, and a host of loving family and friends.
He was a member of Pleasant View Methodist Church. He retired from Nibco Ind.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
