Marcell Robert Petree, 84, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Franklin County, Alabama, to Clarence and Rena Petree. He retired from Champion International Paper and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
Services will be Monday, April 27, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Alabama, with Brother Neil Rogers and Brother Silas Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Site Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Madeen Mitchell Petree, of Red Bay; four daughters, Fredia Rice, of Tuscumbia, Bonnie Gober (L.T.), of Red Bay, Sarah Terry (Dan), and Shelia Woods (Danny), all of Russellville; 10 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Durell Petree, and one sister, Marvalee DeVaney.
Pallbearers will be Paul Kirksey, Greg Gober, Michael Thorne, Bradley Bohannon, The Honorable Barry Moore and Jimmy Mitchell.
Visitation will be Monday, April 27, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama.
