Gilbert “Gil” A. Woodis, age 57, of Union, MS, died Friday, March 27, 2015.
Gil was a native of Sheffield, AL and a veteran, serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a board member for Mississippi Families for Kids, a member of Magnolia Crappie Club and Kappa Sigma fraternity at UNA.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Woodis of Cherokee; daughter, Ashley Woodis and fiance’ Steven Williams of Pearl, MS; brothers, Ronnie Woodis of Leeds, Doug Woodis , Terry Woodis, Bob Woodis, and sister, Rebecca Woodis all of Cherokee.
Pallbearers are Kirk Woodis, Rusty Thompson, Rex Deaton, Tom Cox, Chad Woodis, Justin Polzin, Ronald Woodis, Randy Waldrep, Rusty Rushton.
Honorary Pallbearers are William Hovater and Charles Hovater.
