chasrlesCharles Ray Booth, Sr., 81, died on Friday, November 7, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on March 25, 1933, to Henry Arvil and Arble Clark Booth. He attended school at Tremont and was a veteran of the Korean War. Charles was a charter member of the Itawamba Historical Society, the James Creek Hunting Club, and the Lt. John Sallis Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He had held offices in all these organizations. He was a Baptist and attended the Message of Hope Ministries and Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Sunday, November 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Terry Paul Graham, Dr. Michael Warren, and Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery near Tremont.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virble West Booth; one son, Jerry Booth (Joyce); and two daughters, Wanda Turner (Mike) and Sherry Bennett (Mike), all of Tremont; six granddaughters, Becky Turner Adams (T.J.) of Fulton, Lee Ann Davis (Martin) of Fairview, Jessica Booth of Auburn, AL, Katie Booth of Tremont, Laura Glanert Campbell (Josh) of Winchester, TN, and Amber Glanert of San Antonio, TX; one grandson, Ben Booth of Tremont; and three great-grandchildren, Pearson Davis, Turner Adams, and Braxton Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; a daughter, Patricia Ann Booth; and a son, Charles Ray Booth, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Jim Cody, L.P. Ramey, Ben Fikes, Ronnie Mobley, Darrell Chumbley, and Carl Hannah.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 8, at the funeral home.
