Sidney P. Croom – Obituary

sidneyMr. Sidney P. Croom was born Dec. 4, 1957, to parents James H. Croom Sr. and Virginia Croom. He accepted Christ in 1969 at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Sidney graduated from Deshler High School in 1976 and went to Alabama A&M University and there majored in zoology. Sidney also possessed a degree in Culinary foods. He then left and moved to Houston, Texas, where he lived for over 15 years, and later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.

He was an environmental health specialist three for the county of Paulding for many years and was well respected by many. He was very devouted to his job and also to his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his parents, James and Virginia Croom; brothers, James (Huntsville) and Randall (Tuscumbia); and two sisters, Vernita (Atlanta) and Valerie (Houston); nieces, Sydney Christmas (Atlanta), Shana Gatrey Campbell (Muscle Shoals), Seraphia Sparks (Texas), Erica Croom (Florence); nephews include Devin Bibbins (Atlanta) and Trey Sparks (Texas); a devoted co-worker and friend, Selena Davis (Atlanta); and friends.
