Royce Varnell murdered April 7, 2014
confessed to the murder of Royce Varnell.
Varnell was found dead in his home on County Road 511 in Anderson on April 7th of this year. Royce Varnell was wheelchair bound and was found dead on the floor. It was initially said Varnell died from a gunshot wound, now investigators say he was beaten to death.
Balentine has been charged with murder and has been booked into the Lauderdale Detention Center in Florence.
