George Henry Morris III is led to courtroom for his first appearance before a judge.

TUSCUMBIA – It was a seemingly different man this afternoon as he was led into District Judge Chad Coker’s courtroom. He was there to have his first appearance in court where the formal charge of murder and robbery in connection with the death of his father was presented to him.

George Henry Morris III conducted himself markedly different when he was transported to Colbert County Jail on Wednesday, September 3.

Morris is accused of the Labor Day stabbing his dad, George Henry Morris II at his father’s home in Sheffield. Although the medical Examiner’s report has not yet been released, it is clear that the elder Morris died of his wounds caused by over 30 knife-stabbings. He is presently being held on a $225-thousand bond.

This is the video of his arrival at Colbert County Courthouse earlier today (Friday).
