Charles S. “Puny” Green, 85, of Florence, passed away Aug. 5, 2014, at ECM Hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of Faith Church, a U.S. Navy veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and was a retired electrician from TVA.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Henry Melton. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Military funeral honors will be accorded at graveside.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dora Clemmons Green, brother, John Green, and sister, Jean Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Green, of Florence; son, Rick Green (Debbie), of Downers Grove, Illinois; sister, Doris Frazier, of Waterloo, Alabama; brothers, Bill Green (Dottie),of Lafyette, Colorado, Ronnie Green (Shirley), of Florence; grandchildren, Joshua Green (Jennifer), Nicholas Green, and Abigail Green; and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
