Funeral services for Alma Jean Bennefield, 82 of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 17th, 2014 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Steve Rodgers, Wesley Alldredge, Clenon Shedd officiating with interment in Antioch Missionary Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Bennefield passed away Tuesday, July 15th at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born December 22, 1931 to Tillro L. & Hattie B. Wright Maynard. Mrs. Bennefield was lovingly known as ‘Taterfield’ Bennefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Doyal Othaniel Bennefield; three brothers, James ‘Bud’ (Ogie) Maynard, Milburn ‘Mib’ Maynard, & William Palmon Maynard; a sister, Winnie (Cordis) Allen.
Survivors include her daughter, Annette B. Hankey-Kilgo (Phillip); Brother, John Douglas (Era) Maynard; Sister, Joyce Maynard (George) Segars; Sisters-in-Law, Addie (Boots) Maynard & Estelle P. Maynard; Grandchildren, Krystal Leigh Hankey & Roland ‘Shea’ (Kristin) Hankey; Roland Hankey, father of Krystal & Shea; Great-Grandchild, Colton Sage Hankey; a host of nieces and nephews; and granddog, Rowdy.
Pallbearers will be, Ben Allen, Kenneth Chambers, James Golden, Roland Hankey, Terry Maynard, Wade Maynard; honorary pallbearers, Darrell Kretzschmar, EMS & Tim Moore, EMS.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5:30–8:00 p.m. and continue Thursday morning from 9-11 a.m.
