Funeral service for Margaret Moore Houston, 91, of Decatur will be Monday, July 14, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey and the Rev. Marvin McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Houston, who died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Cedar Springs where she lived for five years and was dearly loved, was born October 25, 1922, in Sheffield to the late Riley Moore and Ora Shelby Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Houston Sr., USN retired, and one son Charles Houston Jr. She was a longtime member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Paul Moore Houston (Linda); daughter-in-law, Kathy Houston; four grandsons, three granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Stinson, Chandler Stinson, Jeff Houston, Houston Fogg, Charles Hill and Tristen Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any hospice of your choice.
