Rosa Diana Gambill Terry, of Sheffield, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014. She was born on November 23, 1935, to James Benjamin Gambill and Mildred Lagomarsino Gambill, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Sullins College, Bristol Virginia and the University of Mississippi. Mrs. Terry was actively involved in the J. B. Lagomarsino Real Estate Company; a family business founded by her maternal grandparents, John B. Lagomarsino and Rosa Lagomarsino, who were pioneer settlers of Sheffield. She was a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church in Tuscumbia. She is survived by her husband, Robert Sanders Terry, a daughter, Valerie Terry Wesson and grandson, William Carter Wesson. Family and friends will gather for the Rosary at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church in Tuscumbia. A funeral mass for Mrs. Terry will follow at 11 a.m. with Father Don Forsythe officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield. Pallbearers will include James Russell Box, Carl Clayton Casiday, James Louis Marks, Walter Matthews, James Arthur Patton, Uhland Otis Redd, III, James Forrest Thompson and James Leland Wesson, Jr. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the St. Joseph Regional Catholic School, 115 Plum Street, Florence, AL 35630 or a charity of your choice.
