Elmer Leon Cole, 72, of Town Creek, Alabama, died Sunday, May 4, 2014. He was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on March 22, 1942. He was a retired boxer and was employed by Gold Kist.
He is survived by his brother, James Edward Cole, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and sisters, Lulu Pilkilton, Town Creek, Alabama, Helen Pilkilton, Tuscumbia, Alabama, Pat Berryman, Mt. Hope, Alabama, and Ruby Dell Hotchkiss, Courtland, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Denzil Cole, mother, Mary Freda Hooper Cole, and brothers, Loyd Cole and Lowell Cole.
He was a member of Harris Chapel Church.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Lawrence Funeral Home, Moulton, Alabama. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Lawrence Funeral Home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Jimmy Cole, James Ramsey, and Paulette Ramsey are officiating. Interment will be in Masterson Cemetery, Town Creek, Alabama.
