Authorization Act of 2014 that will next be taken up by the full U.S. House of Representatives. I’m pleased the committee unanimously passed this bipartisan spending bill, which is critical for the continued development and operations of America’s space program.”

Congressman Brooks concluded, “The NASA Authorization Act funds the Space Launch System (SLS) at $1.6 billion, nearly $220 million more than the President’s requested funding level, and includes my termination liability language that frees up roughly $767 million in appropriated funding to complete vital NASA missions, rather than holding these funds hostage for the unlikely event of program cancellation.”
