RUSSELLVILLE-On Friday night Russellville police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Carroll Ave SE.
This shooting was between tow male adults. One person was taken into custody and the other person involved in the shooting was airlifted to hospital for treatment.

Throughout Fridayt night and into Saturday, Investigators with the Russellville Police Department have continued their investigation into the shooting that occurred on the 500 block of Carroll Ave SE.
As part of the ongoing investigation, investigators executed a search warrant, collected additional evidence, and conducted more interviews.
As a result of the investigation, Nyjel Betts, 23 years old, of Russellville, has been charged with Attempted Murder in the shooting of a 62 year old male victim.
This remains an active investigation, and additional charges are possible as Investigators continue to gather and review evidence.

All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
