Littell G. “Skip” McClung died peacefully at his home in Ashburn, Va. on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. He was born on Jan. 21, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., but was raised in Florence, Ala. He was a former Marine and a retired Fairfax County principal.
He is survived by Gene McClung, his wife of 61 years; his son, Patrick McClung; and his daughter-in-law, Linda. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ryan McClung, all of Sterling Va.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St. Herndon VA, 20170. Interment will take place at National Memorial Park.
