
Ataulfo Zapata Resendo
DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department’s Special Operations Unit served a search warrant at a residence in Decatur, Alabama. Here is how the Decatur Police describe the events:
“On February 26, 2014, members of the Decatur Police Department’s Special Operations Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence of 2415 Kelly Ave. SW Apt. B Decatur, Alabama.
During the execution of the warrant, officers made entry into the residence. While inside, officers detained a Hispanic male identified as Ataulfo Zapata Resendo. Officers then searched the residence.
During the search, officers located over a pound of methamphetamine (ICE) and drug paraphernalia. Investigators estimated the seizure of ICE to have a street value of nearly $25,000. Resendo was placed under arrest for Trafficking in Illegal Drugs (Methamphetamine (ICE)) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Resendo was transported to Decatur City Jail where he was booked in and processed.
Resendo was later transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,500.00 bond.”
