Della Lou Goins, age 85, of Tuscumbia, went to be with Jesus, February 9, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Beasley officiating. Her body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. to lie in state. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.
She was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church and is survived by her loving husband of sixty seven years, William (Doc) Goins; daughters, Brenda Corsbie (Bill), Diane Taylor (Eddie); granddaughters, Michelle McGuire (Randy), Monica Elliot (Todd), Hope Montgomery (Keith); great grandchildren, Taylor, Lauren, Sam, Maggie McGuire, Kyleigh Bryant and Bailey Phillips.
Pallbearers will be Harlon King, Randy McGuire, Sam McGuire, Todd Elliot, Mike Bailey and Randy Gargis.
The family expresses special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, especially to Melinda, Amy, Wanda and Tina.
