Funeral Services for Mr. Dan Dobbs age 86, of Hartselle , will be Monday December 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Herring Cemetery in Massey.
Dan Dobbs was born in Massey Alabama on November 10, 1927 to the late Mitchell David Dobbs, Sr. and Mattie B. Garner Dobbs.
He passed away Saturday December 21, 2013 at the Country Cottage
in Hartselle Alabama.
He is survived by
Three Sons:
Tom Dobbs (Pat) of Hartselle
Jeff Dobbs of Hartselle
Steve Dobbs (Pam) of Hartselle
One Daughter:
Dana Holmes (Glynn) of Hartselle
One Brother:
Bill Dobbs of Hartselle
Eight Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren
Also Survived by a host of Nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers:
David Dobbs and Rob Dobbs
Pallbearers will be
Mike Dobbs, Matt Holmes,
Mitch Dobbs, Daniel Dobbs,
Jeffery Dobbs and Preston Dobbs
Mr. Dobbs enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and farming cattle.
He loved watching Alabama Football or the Atlanta Braves play on TV.
He is member of McKendree Methodist Church in Massey.
He had 40 + years of service with the
Alabama National Guard as Lt. Colonel.
He was also a retired mail carrier for over 30 years.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family has requested donations
be made to Hospice of the Valley.
