Johnnie Parkes Brewer, 88, of Florence, AL, passed away December 21, 2013, at his residence, after a brief illness. He was self employed as a farmer, a member of the Cattleman’s Association, and a member of Shiloh Church of Christ.
Survivors include: Son: Alan Brewer – Florence, AL Daughters: Kathy Richey & Teddy – Florence, AL Chris Baggett & Kent – Florence, AL Kenya Henson & Frank – Florence, AL (9) Grandchildren & (9) Great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by: Parents: Noah & Myrtle Brewer Brothers: Edward Brewer, James Brewer, Tommy Brewer Sisters: Pauline Hines, Georgia Mae Butler, Maggie Redford
Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 2013, from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jason Baggett, Matthew Stutts, Colin Chamblin, Colton Chamblin, Tony Chamblin, Lois Coker, Chris Kimbrough. The family would like to especially remember his best friend and cattle sale buddy Lois Coker, and thank Gentiva Hospice, Dr. Auxier and all the ladies at Greenhill Pharmacy.
