CharlesCharles William Suggs, 86 of Florence, AL passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. He was a native of Lauderdale Co. He was a WWII navy veteran and attended Underwood Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Greenveiw Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Louise Suggs and Carolyn Suggs, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Pepper of Silver Springs, MD and Patrick Pepper of Nicholsville, KY; daughters, Sandra Volentine of Florence, Mary Sandy of Greenwood, FL and Kathy Roland of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Crystal Hunt, Michael Volentine, Monica, Sean and Jennifer Pepper, Brian Pepper and Stephanie Pepper-Coleman, Bethany, Lauren and Chessie Roland and Douglas Newton; great-grandchildren, Carter Chittam and Maxwell Howard Robertson.
Pallbearers will be Cleveland and L. Wayne Suggs, Larry Grigsby, Raymond W. Vickery, Bryan Pepper and Anthony Newton. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleveland Ivy, Eugene Grigsby, Joe Cooper, Mike Volentine and Ken Hunt.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentevia Hospice for their loving care and support.
