Marjorie Beatrice Jarrett Jackson age 79 of Athens, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Athens Rehab and Senior Care. Mrs. Jackson was born September 2, 1934 in Limestone County to Leo Jarrett and Flora Griffin Jarrett.
Services will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bob Watson and Mike Davis officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 11, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Marjorie was a member of New Hope Church of Christ and a longtime employee of Brett Men Clothing.
Preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Flora Jarrett; brother, Harold Gilbert; extended family, Ted Jarrett and Clayton Mitchell.
Survived by her husband, Winston Jackson, Sr. of Athens; son, Winston Jackson, Jr. and wife, Debora of Athens; daughter, Synthia Atkinson and husband, Sonny of Cullman, AL; 6 grandchildren, Michelle Casey, Amanda Presnell, Hannah Jackson, Will Atkinson, Leslie Stanger and Dan Atkinson; 6 great-grandchildren, Hayden Paul Diggins, Neely Atkinson, Zap Atkinson, Avetien Atkinson, Jack Presnell and Daxton Casey; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Will Atkinson, Dan Atkinson, Morris Jewell, Don Jewell, Ricky Collins and Ben Presnell.
Memorials may be made to New Hope Church of Christ in her memory.
